Ronto unveils common area design for Seaglass at Bonita Bay

03/02/2015

The Ronto Group announced that plans for the interior design of common areas within the new Seaglass at Bonita Bay high-rise tower have been completed.

The design by Renee Gaddis Interiors includes stunning finishes in the Seaglass tower's two-story lobby. The 26-floor, 120-unit Seaglass tower, to be built by Ronto within the Bonita Bay community in Bonita Springs, will feature fully-completed, ready-for-occupancy residences with designer-selected premium quality finishes, including flooring, paint and trim.

The Naples-based developer and Wheelock Street Capital acquired the final two high-rise tower parcels in Bonita Bay late last year. The luxury homebuyer market continues to respond to the appeal of the amenity rich, maintenance-free Seaglass lifestyle. Ronto reported it has processed reservations worth over $50 million for residences at Seaglass.

Gaddis has created a fresh, distinctive common area design that will have multigenerational appeal while providing a warm note of welcome. The color palette will include neutral whites, cerused wood accents, veined tone-on-tone neutral quartzite slabs, and an iridescent glass mosaic feature wall. The look combines a mix of design styles. The driftwood-like cerused wood in dark brown and gray tones will combine with subtle sea glass accents throughout the space to convey a coastal feeling. Oversized furnishings with classic styles and shapes will create a sense of comfort for the building's residents while providing a timeless feeling that will serve the interior space for years to come. The furnishings will be upholstered in neutral fabrics and accented with dark wood details.

Classic quartzite slabs accenting the elevator lobby walls and reception desk will be incorporated into the design in a contemporary way. Clean-lined 36-by-36-inch flooring, photographic art printed on acrylic rather than canvas, and subtle stainless steel accents will provide additional contemporary elements. The photographic art pieces will have an abstract look and presented in soft aquas, teals, blues, neutrals and browns reflecting the entirety of the space. The oversized acrylic pieces will be hung using stainless steel standoffs.

The tower's two-story lobby will offer a grand place of entry. The lobby's reception desk will be in a simple transitional design with a contemporary clean-veined tone-on-tone neutral quartzite slab on the front and the sides wrapped by cerused dark gray-brown wood. The wall behind the desk will be clad with the same clean-veined tone-on-tone neutral quartzite slab to create a contemporary panel look with simple recesses rather than traditional applied moldings. In the center panel of the wall, stainless steel letters with backlighting will spell out Seaglass.

The lobby's two-story feature wall will extend behind a floating stairwell with a simple glass railing and cerused wood handrail that will also be included on a second-floor catwalk. The stair risers will match the flooring and be complemented by dark wood treads. The center of the feature wall will be highlighted by sea glass iridescent glass mosaic tile. The LED lighting around the mosaics will add drama while creating the illusion of sea glass on the beach. The glass mosaics on the feature wall will be flanked by limestone columns. Each side of the feature wall will be clad with the dark cerused wood to create a contemporary paneled look with small recessed horizontal spaces.

The tower's elevator lobbies will have walls clad with the quartzite slab material with horizontal recessed cutouts to provide a contemporary flair. Each elevator door will have a large surround finished with the cerused wood used throughout the space. The walls inside each elevator will present subtly antiqued mirror insets with a cerused wood frame. A unique ceiling treatment will include stainless steel with randomly sized horizontal cutouts to allow light to penetrate the elevator cab.

The tower's second floor will include a news café and connect to an amenity complex previously designed by architect Santiesteban & Associates. Amenities already in place include a theater, guest suites, card and club rooms, a fully-equipped fitness facility that features men's and women's spas with steam and massage rooms, a large resort-style walk-in pool and spa, and a deck with a covered and screened cabana that includes a bar and grill.

The Bonita Bay community features an on-site marina offering a relaxing dining and lounge experience. Twelve miles of on-property hiking trails and a kayaking and canoeing lodge offer additional recreational possibilities. Bus transportation is provided to a private beach club complete with picnic pavilions, grills, beach chairs, and umbrellas on Little Hickory Island.

In addition to the attractions available at the amenity complex, the amenities of the Bonita Bay Club, including three on-site and two off-site golf courses, will also be available to residents of Seaglass. The Club recently completed an $11 million renovation of its 50,000-square-foot clubhouse and a new Lifestyle Center is scheduled for completion this spring.

The penthouse residences at Seaglass are priced starting at $2.5 million and offer approximately 4,600 square feet of air-conditioned space with a private elevator foyer, a great room, gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms, a den or fourth bedroom and three-and-a-half baths, or four bedrooms with a den and four-and-a-half baths. Ceiling heights of 10 feet, 8 inches or 11 feet, 4 inches are included per plan. Several of the penthouse residences feature expanded outdoor spaces with large terraces, including two private rooftop terraces that will be enjoyed by the residents of the penthouses on the building's uppermost floor.

Three tower residence great room floor plans, ranging from 2,889 to 3,421 square feet under air, are priced just over $1 million. The tower residences will include private elevator foyers, large island kitchens, three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, or three bedrooms plus a den or fourth bedroom and three-and-a-half baths, walk-in closets throughout, and multiple outdoor spaces that include a gas grill. Ten-foot ceiling heights are included per plan.
